About the event
Course Description: This course will review traumatic injuries and the overall evaluation of the patient with trauma. Then, a review of classification, diagnosis, treatment and management of traumatic lesions will be presented. Prognosis of various traumatic injuries will be reviewed, along with case presentations.
Course Objectives:
1. Present a systematic way of gathering trauma history
2. Review the classification of traumatic injuries
3. Be able to identify the diagnosis, emergency treatment and follow-up according to type of injury
About the Speaker: Dr. Brad Gettleman is a board-certified endodontist and has been practicing endodontics in Arizona since 1989. After 31½ years of practicing full-time he transitioned into academics and is now an Assistant Clinical Professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Gettleman has published numerous articles and textbook chapters on various aspects of endodontic therapy and has lectured extensively. He currently serves on the American Association of Endodontics Board of Directors and is past president of the Arizona Endodontic Association. During his career Dr. Gettleman has treated well over 500 luxation injuries. His presentation will be titled: Dental Trauma: Diagnosis, Treatment, and Prognosis.
